The draws for the Skechers Shenzhen Open 2026 put one of the youngest players in the field into three events. Elsie Hendershot, 13, is seeded fourth in Women's Doubles with Aiko Yoshitomi, eighth in Mixed Doubles with Zane Navratil, and is in the Women's Singles draw as well.
Hendershot made her name in Major League Pickleball this season and had played two Asia stops without a marquee result, at the Sansan Fukuoka Open 2025 and the MB Hanoi Cup 2026.

A debutant takes the top Men's Singles seeding
Roscoe Bellamy arrived on the PPA Tour Asia for the first time and went straight in as the top seed in Men's Singles. He was ranked sixth in the world in singles and 23rd overall, which made him one of the highest-ranked players to debut in Asia during the season.
The field behind him was one of the deepest of the year. Zane Ford was seeded second, Hong Kit Wong third after three singles titles already in 2026, Hien Truong fifth, and Adam Harvey sixth off the back of his gold at the MB Ho Chi Minh City Open two weeks earlier.
Four gold threats in the top four of the Women's Singles
Chao Yi Wang returned to the tour as the top seed, with Sahra Dennehy second, Yufei Long third and Rika Fujiwara fourth. Long had the local interest: Shenzhen is her home city, and she came in off a two-gold weekend at the Leapmotor Singapore Open and another Women's Doubles gold in Ho Chi Minh City.
