Two players reached semifinal Saturday at the Skechers Shenzhen Open 2026 still alive in all three of their events, and the draw sent them straight at each other.
Tama Shimabukuro, 15, was through in the Men's Singles, in the Men's Doubles with Joseph Wild, and in the Mixed Doubles with Sahra Dennehy. Yu-Chieh Hsieh was through in the Women's Singles, in the Women's Doubles with Albie Huang, and in the Mixed Doubles with Luc Pham. The Mixed Doubles semifinal put the two pairs on opposite sides of the net, which guaranteed one of the two bids would end there.
Harvey ends Wong's singles run
Adam Harvey beat Hong Kit Wong 11-3, 11-8 in the Men's Singles quarterfinals, ending the run of a player who had won three singles titles during 2026. Top seed Roscoe Bellamy went out earlier still, beaten 11-7, 11-6 by Luc Pham in the round of 16 on his first Asia appearance.

Yufei Long, who is from Shenzhen, lost both her events on the same day: the Women's Singles round of 16 and then the Women's Doubles quarterfinal alongside Chao Yi Wang. Hsieh was involved in both, winning the singles meeting and then partnering Huang to end Long's doubles.
