Truong's first singles gold
Hien Truong beat the qualifier Nasa Hatakeyama 11-2, 11-3 and finished the week without losing a game in singles. It was his first Men's Singles gold, alongside the Men's Doubles title he won at the Vibrant Linping Hangzhou Open at the end of 2025.

NASA HATAKEYAMAHatakeyama's run from qualifying, through the second and seventh seeds, gave Japan its first Men's Singles medal on the tour.
The win also made Truong the first player to hold two pieces of what the tour calls the dragon, the interlocking three-medal set of the 2026 season. His silver at the MB Hanoi Cup gave him the body and this gold gave him the tail. The head is only available at the season finale in Hong Kong.
Wang wins the singles, loses the sweep
Chao Yi Wang beat the qualifier Pei-Chuan Kao 11-5, 11-6 for her first Women's Singles gold, after a silver in Hangzhou and a bronze at the Panas Malaysia Cup.
The triple crown ended in the Women's Doubles, where Yufei Long and Ting Chieh Wei beat Wang and Alix Truong 11-5, 11-2. It was a second gold for Long and Wei as a pair after Fukuoka, and Wei's fourth Women's Doubles gold on the tour.
Johns and Yang take the Men's Doubles
Collin Johns and Len Yang beat the first-time pairing of Tama Shimabukuro and Armaan Bhatia 11-3, 11-6. It was Yang's second Men's Doubles gold in Asia and Johns' first.
Shimabukuro's first Asia gold
Tama Shimabukuro and Alix Truong beat Len Yang and Chao Yi Wang 11-5, 3-11, 11-2 in the Mixed Doubles, the closest final of the day and the result that stopped Wang winning twice. It was Truong's third Mixed Doubles gold on the tour and Shimabukuro's first gold of any kind in Asia, after two lost bronze medal matches.
