The brackets for the Macao Open 2026 put Hong Kit Wong at the top of the Men's Singles draw, about as close to a home tournament as the tour gets for him. The Venetian Macao sits across the Pearl River Delta from Hong Kong, where he won the Hong Kong Open 2025.
His projected quarterfinal was against the sixth seed Marco Leung, a Macao local and a two-time Men's Singles quarterfinalist.

Shimabukuro enters three events again
Tama Shimabukuro, 15, took the second Men's Singles seeding, the top Men's Doubles seeding with Armaan Bhatia and the third Mixed Doubles seeding with Jamie Haas, a week after a similarly full schedule in Kuala Lumpur.
Lingwei Kong debuts with two top seedings
Lingwei Kong made her first PPA Tour Asia appearance with the top seeding in two events, partnering Xiao Yi Wang-Beckvall in Women's Doubles and Len Yang in Mixed Doubles. She was ranked 35th in the world in Women's Doubles and had built her record on the PPA Tour in the United States.
Doubles partners, singles opponents
Mihae Kwon and Nok Yiu Tang had met in the Women's Singles round of 16 at the Panas Kuala Lumpur Open, where Kwon won 11-9, 11-1, and the Macao draw put them in the same round again. Kwon arrived off a run in Kuala Lumpur in which she also beat the third seed Yufei Long on the way to the bronze.
A rematch of the Kuala Lumpur Men's Doubles final
Armaan Bhatia and Shimabukuro were the top Men's Doubles seeds, with Collin Johns and Len Yang second. The two pairs had met in the Kuala Lumpur final two weeks earlier, where Johns and Yang won 11-3, 11-6. Eunggwon Kim and Wong were seeded third, with one silver and three bronzes together and no gold.
