Ho Tam arrived at the Macao Open 2026 without a PPA Tour Asia medal. She left the semifinals with two finals to play.
She beat Anni Xie 11-6, 11-6 in the Women's Singles semifinal, then partnered Mihae Kwon past Rika Fujiwara and Kei Sawaki 8-11, 11-2, 11-8 in the Women's Doubles. Her singles route had taken three games against Tya Karina and three more against the fourth seed Sophia Tran.
Fujiwara beats the top seed
Rika Fujiwara beat the top seed Yufei Long 11-7, 11-4 without dropping a game to reach the Women's Singles final. Fujiwara is a former professional tennis player who reached a career high of 13th in the world in WTA doubles and was a French Open doubles semifinalist in 2002.
Shimabukuro's triple crown bid ends, two finals remain
Tama Shimabukuro and Jamie Haas lost the Mixed Doubles semifinal 11-5, 11-6 to Nok Yiu Tang and Eunggwon Kim. He still reached two finals: the Men's Singles after beating Matthew Finnerty 11-4, 11-4, and the Men's Doubles with Armaan Bhatia after a 12-10, 9-11, 11-8 win over the third seeds Kim and Wong.
Wong reaches the singles final
Hong Kit Wong beat Kenta Miyoshi 11-1, 11-6. He and Shimabukuro had never met in Men's Singles before the final.
