One of Johor's more competitive clubs uses Pickle Champs as its regular base for DUPR-rated games, so expect a decent standard of play if you show up during their sessions. The location works well whether you are driving in via Woodlands or Tuas, and there is a food court nearby for a meal after your games.

The venue sits deep in Masai's industrial belt, roughly 20 to 25 minutes from the border checkpoints. There is a growing township minutes away with food options and massage spots for a proper recovery session after a long day of play. It is a solid pick for players who want a premium experience without the mall crowds.

Housed inside a hypermarket, Pickle Friends was one of the first venues in southern Malaysia built specifically for pickleball, and it still holds up well. Its 9 indoor, air-conditioned courts come with a pro shop and comfortable deck chairs for players waiting between games. High ceilings and exposed pipework give the space an industrial charm rather than a warehouse feel, and the flooring and court spacing remain some of the best in the city.
The mall setting means parking is never an issue, and there are plenty of food options within the same building. It has become a firm favourite among both local players and Singaporeans crossing over for a session, and the hourly rates stay reasonable given the air-conditioned comfort on offer.

Ample private parking makes it an easy first stop for visitors unfamiliar with the area.
Court spacing, barriers, and ceiling height are all well executed. Though the venue can run warm during midday hours since the cooling in the court area does not quite match the comfort of its air-conditioned reception. Evening sessions tend to be the more comfortable option here.

5. D Pickle Zone (DPZ), Permas Jaya

D Pickle Zone was one of the earliest courts to open in JB and remains a mainstay for both casual games and tournaments. With 18 hard courts in total, including 4 outdoor and 14 indoor, it is the largest facility of its kind in southern Malaysia. The blue and grey court tones create a clean contrast against the balls, and the venue is spacious enough that parking rarely becomes a headache even during busy weekends.
DPZ also comes with a proper pro shop, shower facilities, and an F&B lounge, rounding out a facility that plays host to a steady stream of local tournaments throughout the year.
