Andie Dikosavljevic reached two finals at the MB Ho Chi Minh City Open 2026 without losing a game. The Australian had recently completed a triple crown on PPA Tour Australia but had never won gold in Asia.
She beat Nok Yiu Tang 11-1, 11-5 in the Women's Singles semifinal, and with Yufei Long beat Albie Huang and Yu-Chieh Hsieh 11-3, 11-5 in the Women's Doubles.
The opposite approach in the other half
Trang Huynh reached the singles final having lost the opening game of all three of her main-draw matches and won the next two each time, most recently 6-11, 11-9, 11-5 against Mihae Kwon.
Wong's four-title run ends
Hong Kit Wong's bid for a fourth straight Men's Singles gold ended 5-11, 11-7, 11-9 against Luc Pham. Adam Harvey beat Hien Truong 11-4, 11-5 in the other semifinal, reversing the home favourite's form line and setting up an all-American final.
Vietnam guaranteed a Men's Doubles finalist
Hoang Nam Ly and Collin Johns beat top seeds Eunggwon Kim and Hong Kit Wong 11-5, 13-15, 11-7, so Kim and Wong again finished a week without the gold they had been chasing. Hien Truong and Quan Do came through 5-11, 11-2, 11-8 against Robert Stirling and Kenta Miyoshi, which put Ly and Truong on opposite sides of the final.
