What it means

Hong Kit Wong is the only non-Vietnamese player left in Men's Singles. Malaysia Open champion Giang Trinh is still chasing back-to-back titles, while qualifiers Ly and Hien Truong (VIE) have taken the long road to the last four.

Hong Yi Wong keeps the home hopes alive against Hsieh, who won two Women's Singles medals on PPA Tour Australia in 2024 and is still waiting for a first PPA singles gold. Long faces Roos van Reek (NED), who beat her 11-4, 11-4 at June's Gold Coast Slam and won her first singles gold at May's Perth Open.

Top Men's Doubles seeds George Wall and Joseph Wild (AUS), both out of Mixed Doubles early, start their own run on Saturday morning.

Saturday order of play

The morning session runs the round of 16 and quarterfinals in Men's and Women's Doubles. The afternoon produces the tournament's first finalists in the Mixed Doubles and Singles semifinals.
