PPA Tour Asia's first season comes down to one weekend. The seventh and final stop of 2025 is the first PPA tournament on mainland China, and it carries a season-long medal race into its last day.

Storylines
Staksrud arrives as world champion
Federico Staksrud (ARG) is the Men's Singles top seed and the world No. 2, fresh off two golds at the Jenius Bank Pickleball World Championships in Dallas. A singles title in Hangzhou would return him to No. 1. He is top seed in all three of his events. Connor Garnett (USA), who swept every event at the Sansan Fukuoka Open for the tour's first triple crown, is seeded second with a perfect three-from-three record in Asian finals.
Wong or Long for most decorated
Hong Kit Wong (HKG) and Yufei Long (CHN) arrive level on eight medals apiece. Wong's is the longer list of colours (one gold, two silver, five bronze); Long's is the shinier one, with four golds. Long is entered in all three events at home and can finish the inaugural season as its most decorated player.
Wang everywhere, Wei with a new partner
Chao Yi Wang (TPE) is seeded first in Women's Singles and Women's Doubles (with Alix Truong) and second in Mixed Doubles (with Armaan Bhatia). She won back-to-back Women's Doubles golds at the Malaysia Cup and MB Vietnam Cup with Kaitlyn Christian and is still chasing a first singles title. Ting Chieh Wei (TPE), who has three Women's Doubles golds this season with three different partners, is seeded second with Nicola Schoeman (AUS).
Vietnam's medalists and a debutant
Hoang Nam Ly (VIE) is the third seed with three bronzes and a silver this season and no gold yet. Hien Truong (VIE) is fourth after a silver and a bronze from the two Vietnam stops, and Giang Trinh (VIE), the Malaysia Open champion, is sixth. Blaine Hovenier (CAN) makes his Asia debut in Men's Doubles with Garnett and Mixed Doubles with Long.
Malaysians in the draw
Jimmy Liong (MAS) is in the Men's Singles draw and partners Han Hyuck Chu in Men's Doubles and Sophia Tran (VIE) in Mixed Doubles. Ooi Kah Yan, Athilla Miasara and Joanne Wong (all MAS) are in the doubles draws.
