UMW Toyota Motor has confirmed the Toyota Malaysia Pickle Tour 2026. This event is a five-stop community series that will carry the sport across East and West Malaysia from August to September. The tour comes with a total prize pool of RM175,000 and open entry for Malaysians aged 7 and above, making it one of the most geographically expansive pickleball initiatives the country has seen from a corporate organiser.
Under "Solo Entry. Team Glory" players can sign up individually rather than as a pair or squad. The organiser then places each entrant into a team. There is no picking your own partner. Toyota is framing the random grouping as a feature rather than a limitation, betting that it pushes players to build chemistry fast and turns an individual sign-up into a shared campaign.
Five Stops, East to West
The tour opens in East Malaysia before making its way across the peninsula. Here is the full schedule.
Stop | Venue | Location | Dates |
1 | STAR Pickleball | Kuching, Sarawak | 1 to 2 August 2026 |
2 | Pickleground | Kota Kinabalu, Sabah | 15 to 16 August 2026 |
3 | Play! | Johor Bahru, Johor | 5 to 6 September 2026 |
4 | George Town, Penang | 19 to 20 September 2026 | |
5 | Subang Jaya, Klang Valley | 26 to 27 September 2026 |
Each stop pays out to its top 10 teams in cash and medals. The champion team at every leg takes home RM10,000 and gold medals, with RM8,000 for the runner up and RM6,000 for third place.

Built for Beginners Too
UMW Toyota Motor President Datuk Ravindran K. tied the tour to the company's wider community mobility push. He notes that widening access to shared experiences sits at the center of the brand's approach to engaging Malaysians beyond the showroom floor.
Datuk K. Ravindran stated:
“'Mobility for All' is about widening access to experiences that move people forward – physically, socially and emotionally.”
The pickle tour joins a growing list of community-facing initiatives from UMW Toyota Motor, including the long-running Toyota Eco Youth programme and the Start Your Impossible Outrun. Bot initiatives had built ties with communities outside its traditional automotive base.

Why It Matters for the Local Scene
A five-city footprint spanning Sarawak, Sabah, Johor, Penang and the Klang Valley is a notably wide net for a single tour. It puts competitive pickleball within reach of players who normally have to travel to Kuala Lumpur or Penang for anything with a real prize pool attached. Pairing that reach with a solo entry format also lowers the barrier for players without a regular doubles partner, a common hurdle for anyone trying to break into organised play.
