Malaysia is getting its first taste of the PPA Asia 125 Series this August, and Tomaz Pickleball Club is throwing the party.

MSPL Sports and Tomaz Pickleball Club have announced the inaugural 2026 Tomaz Cup, running August 27 to 31 in Kuala Lumpur. It marks the first PPA Asia 125 Malaysia stop and lands squarely in the middle of Tomaz Pickleball Club's first anniversary celebrations, with the timing also tying into Merdeka.
Before the official announcement had even gone out, the club had already logged 60 registrations in a single morning!
The event will run Pro and Amateur divisions side by side, giving weekend players a chance to compete in the same venue and during the same week as the region's top-ranked athletes. For amateurs, division champions will also earn a qualification spot into a PPA Asia 500 Open event, giving the win real weight beyond the trophy.
Pro Prize Money and Points
The Pro field will compete for US$15,000 in prize money and 125 ranking points, part of the PPA Asia 125 Series.

How to Register
Amateur Division registration is live now through the Baseline app, and organizers are flagging that slots are moving quickly across categories given the early registration numbers. Matches across the week will stream live on the Baseline app, with highlight reels following on social media, so players who make the podium will have plenty to show for it.
More announcements on the Pro field, schedule, and side events are expected in the lead-up to August, with Tomaz Pickleball Club's anniversary and the Merdeka period adding an extra layer of celebration to Malaysia's first PPA Asia 125 stop.
