Selkirk Sport Makes Its Official Move Into Asia With Website Launch and Malaysia Expo Debut

4 min read

One of the world's most recognisable pickleball brands is making its presence felt in Asia. Selkirk Sport has officially launched a dedicated regional website and confirmed its participation at the Malaysia Sport and Leisure Expo 2026. This signals a clear push from the brand to deepen its roots across the region.

Selkirk Asia Website Goes Live

Launched on 9 June 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, the Selkirk Asia website gives players across the region a dedicated platform to shop Selkirk products, access educational content, and stay updated on brand news. The site features the full range of Selkirk gear, including paddles, apparel, bags and accessories. The new site is designed to offer a more localised shopping experience, with faster shipping and lower delivery costs than ordering internationally.

Beyond the store, the platform functions as a resource hub where players of all levels can find training tips, product updates and community content. It is built to support players throughout their pickleball journey, whether they are just picking up a paddle for the first time or refining their game at a competitive level.

Mike Barnes, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Selkirk Sport, described the launch as a reflection of the brand's commitment to the region:

"The launch of Selkirk Asia reflects our commitment to supporting the rapid growth of pickleball in the region. We are excited to provide players with easier access to premium equipment, trusted educational resources and a stronger connection to the global Selkirk community."

Just days after the website went live, Selkirk Sport is bringing that same energy offline. The brand will be exhibiting at the Malaysia Sport and Leisure Expo 2026, running from 19 to 21 June 2026 at the Mid Valley Exhibition Hall, Level 3, Booth 338. Doors are open daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Visitors to the Selkirk booth can explore the brand's latest lineup of pickleball products, including paddles, bags, shoes and accessories. Throughout the three-day event, the team will also be running interactive challenges, including "Stop the Clock" and "Shoot Your Shot," with prizes up for grabs ranging from Selkirk merchandise to a Selkirk LABS Project Boomstik Raw Carbon paddle worth RM1,100.

The expo also presents an opportunity for business owners, retailers and sports operators to explore Selkirk's Authorised Retail Partner programme. If you are interested in bringing Selkirk products to your community, the team will be on hand to walk you through what that looks like.

Pickleball's Growing Footprint in Malaysia

Selkirk's regional push comes at a time when pickleball in Malaysia is gaining real momentum. Courts are popping up across the Klang Valley and beyond, player communities are growing through social media and weekend play sessions, and more sporting venues are adding pickleball to their repertoire. The sport's low barrier to entry and social nature have made it a favourite among adults looking for a fun, accessible alternative to tennis or badminton.

With brands like Selkirk now establishing a direct presence in the region, it is another sign that what started as a grassroots movement in Malaysia is quickly becoming something much bigger. Whether you are a seasoned player or just getting started, now is a great time to find your nearest court and get on the dink.
