Innovative Use of Space: Little India Bus Terminal

One of the most unique developments for a pickleball court in Singapore is the newly opened facility at the Little India Bus Terminal (ActiveSG Courts @ Farrer Park).
- The Concept: Eight sheltered courts have been retrofitted into a section of the operating bus terminal.
- Operational Hours: The courts are available Monday to Saturday, from 9 am to 9 pm. On Sundays, the space reverts to its original use as a bus terminal to serve migrant worker transport needs.
- Significance: This project, a collaboration between SportSG and the Land Transport Authority (LTA), demonstrates Singapore’s strategy of repurposing underutilized urban spaces (like those under flyovers and viaducts) to bring sports closer to the community.
